A&M Industrial Acquires ITS And STS

In an effort to strengthen their ability to service New England's manufacturing industry, in late 2017, A&M Industrial officially acquired Industrial Tool Specialist (ITS), an industrial distributor headquartered in Springfield, Vermont. ITS built their 45-year reputation in the metalworking industry as a leader in providing application support and technical assistance to manufacturing companies and machine shops throughout New England.

David Young, President of A&M Industrial, stated, “ITS’ affiliation with A&M Industrial broadens its product line and enables ITS to offer its customers access to a host of leading global manufacturers of quality tooling and abrasives. In March 2018, A&M Industrial negotiated an agreement with Springfield Tool Supply (STS), also of Springfield, VT, to incorporate all their industrial cutting tool business into A&M Industrial as well. New England customers will see the same high level of technical sales and support as before, now paired with a much deeper product portfolio and a wider range of services, including Vendor Managed Inventory. Plans to centralize operations in the Vermont and New Hampshire area into a single, more convenient location are in the works, and will be announced when information is available.
